While entrance fees range between 500-700 lira in Caddebostan, they rise to 750-1000 lira in Şile and up to 2,000 lira in Büyükada. Food and beverage prices at the beaches are also notable, with some citizens stating they prefer free public beaches.

As the summer season approaches in Istanbul, activity has begun at beaches and tourist facilities. Entrance fees for private beaches in various parts of the city have been announced, with prices varying according to the services offered and location.

At private beaches on Caddebostan Coast, per-person entrance fees are 500 lira on weekdays and 700 lira on weekends. In Şile, weekday entrance fees start at 750 lira, rising to 1,000 lira on weekends.

On Büyükada, some establishments have entrance fees starting from 500 lira and going up to 2,000 lira, while in Kilyos, private beaches charge 600 lira on weekdays and 750 lira on weekends. In Sarıyer, prices range from 500 to 1,500 lira depending on the establishment.

OPERATORS DEFEND PRICES

Murat Bilgin, who operates a business in Şile, stated that the fees include services such as sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, changing cabins, towels, and beverages, and said the determined prices are reasonable.

Bilgin also noted that there has been an approximately 30 percent increase in prices compared to last year.

Another operator, Erkan Alkan, said that the price for a set of sun lounger and umbrella, which was 800 lira last year, has risen to 1,400 lira this year, and added that they only serve families.

HAMBURGER ON THE BEACH COSTS 500 LIRA

Food and beverage prices at the beaches also drew attention. In some establishments in Şile, hamburgers are sold for 500 lira, toast for 300 lira, and meatball and grill varieties for 600 to 700 lira. The price of meat products can go up to 1,200 lira.

FREE BEACHES ALSO ATTRACT HEAVY INTEREST

In addition to private beaches, citizens can swim for free at public beaches such as Ayazma, Ağlayankaya, and Kurfallı in Şile. Free areas like Menekşe Beach in Küçükçekmece also attract heavy interest during the summer months.

While some citizens stated that they prefer free beaches due to high prices, others expressed that they prefer paid beaches because of the services offered by private facilities.
