On the last working day of the week in Istanbul, traffic was almost at a standstill. Due to the end of working hours and the effect of rainy weather, traffic density across the city reached up to 90%. EUROPEAN SIDEOn the European Side, due to the end of working hours and intermittent rain affecting the city, heavy traffic starting at the entrance of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge is felt all the way to Okmeydanı. On the D-100 highway, two-way traffic density is observed from Haliç to Avcılar. On the TEM Highway, traffic is moving heavily in both directions from the exit of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge to Gaziosmanpaşa. ANATOLIAN SIDEOn the Anatolian Side, there is congestion in both directions on the D-100 highway between Kadıköy and Kartal. On the Şile Highway, congestion is observed in the Üsküdar and Ümraniye sections, while on the TEM Highway, two-way traffic density is noted between Ataşehir and Sancaktepe. In the Tuzla and Sancaktepe areas, traffic is moving slowly towards Edirne. During transitions to the European Side, traffic congestion towards the 15 July Martyrs Bridge starts from Uzunçayır. There is two-way traffic density between the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and Ataşehir. Meanwhile, traffic density is observed on some main arteries, coastal roads, and TEM connection roads on both sides. Additionally, congestion is also observed at some public transport stops. Passenger density is experienced at transfer centers such as Zeytinburnu and Cevizlibağ. According to the traffic density map of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, while the overall traffic density in the city reached 90%, the density was measured at 87% on the European Side and 90% on the Anatolian Side.
