SGK claimed that it will re-examine the files of some individuals who retired under the EYT scope after the holiday. According to the claim, insurance periods spent before the age of 18 in a parent's sole proprietorship may be considered invalid, and some retirement procedures could be canceled.

A claim that closely concerns citizens who retired under the Retirement Age Obstacle (EYT) has come to the agenda. Social Security Specialist Mehmet Akif Cenkci stated in his statement that the Social Security Institution (SGK) will reassess some retirement files after the holiday.

INSURANCE COVERAGE UNDER AGE 18 WILL BE SCRUTINIZED

According to Cenkci's claim, SGK will examine the files of individuals who were shown as insured in their mother's or father's personal businesses before the age of 18. As part of the reviews, the validity of these insurance periods will be reassessed.

According to the shared information, within the framework of Circular No. 2013/11, some insurance periods spent with a mother or father may be deducted from service. It was claimed that if this situation is determined to affect retirement conditions, the relevant retirement procedures could be cancelled.

COMPANIES WILL BE EXCLUDED

According to the claim, the application will only cover insurance periods spent in personal businesses belonging to the mother or father. It was alleged that if the parent's workplace is a limited liability company or joint-stock company, these insurance coverages will not be included in the scope of the review.

"PENSIONS AND HOLIDAY BONUSES MAY BE RECOVERED"

Cenkci argued that as a result of the review, previously paid retirement pensions and holiday bonuses from individuals whose retirement procedures are cancelled may be considered undue payments and recovered. It was also among the claims that interest could be applied to these amounts.

On the other hand, no official statement has yet been made by SGK on the subject.
