Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan announced that Şenol Güneş, who serves as the football director, wants to step down from his position. In his statement, Ertuğrul Doğan said, "We are in constant communication with Mr. Şenol Güneş. He shares his knowledge and experience with us. He currently believes that working within the club is not suitable for him. We respect his decision."
The Trabzonspor Club has signed a jersey back sponsorship agreement with Onvo. The signing ceremony, held at the Zorlu Raffles Hotel in Istanbul, was attended by Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan and Onvo Board Chairman Mehmet Atmaca. Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan made statements at the press conference.

Doğan responded to a question regarding Şenol Güneş's situation, announcing that Şenol Güneş wants to leave the Bordo-mavililer and stated, "I answered this recently as well. We are in constant communication with Mr. Şenol Güneş. He shares his knowledge and experience with us. He currently thinks that working within the club would not be suitable for him. We respect that. We meet 2-3 days a week. We have no problems. Şenol Güneş is a great admirer of Trabzonspor. We have always worked well with him. That’s all there is to it."
