A person who allegedly introduced himself as a doctor and treated patients without a license in the Akçakale district of Şanlıurfa was detained in a gendarmerie operation. The suspect, who was found to have treated herniated discs and fractures-dislocations, was actually discovered to work as a formwork master and bodywork master in construction sites. A search of his workplace yielded numerous medical supplies and herbal medicines.
In Şanlıurfa, Akçakale Gendarmerie Command teams launched an investigation upon receiving information that unlicensed health services were being provided in the district. During the examinations, it was determined that Mahmut Y., despite having no medical authority, introduced himself as a doctor and used his workplace as a clinic to treat herniated discs and fractures-dislocations.
FAKE DOCTOR TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
In the organized operation, the suspect was taken into custody, and during searches at the workplace, numerous medical materials, treatment devices, and herbal medicines were seized.
TURNED OUT TO BE A CONSTRUCTION WORKER AND AUTO BODY REPAIRMAN
It was learned that Mahmut Y. worked as a formwork worker during the day on construction sites, occasionally did auto body repairs, and accepted patients at the aforementioned workplace in his free time.
In a statement from the Şanlıurfa Governorate, it was reported that the operation against the workplace identified as providing unlicensed health services was successfully carried out, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect. Mahmut Y., who was taken into custody, is undergoing procedures at the gendarmerie.
