According to the ASAL Research survey conducted in July 2025, 61.2% of the society views the "Terror-Free Turkey" process positively. The highest support comes from the Kurdish (80.4%) and conservative (80%) segments, while 52.2% of Atatürkist/secular voters evaluate the process negatively.

ASAL Research and Consultancy conducted a survey in July 2025 with 1,985 people across 26 provinces in Turkey, asking the question, "How do you evaluate the process of a Terror-Free Turkey?" The results of the survey revealed the differences in the approaches of various segments of society towards the process.



SUPPORT RATES BASED ON ETHNIC IDENTITY





  • 80.4% of Kurdish participants found the process positive.


  • 51.3% of Turkish participants supported it, while 38.6% found it negative.


  • The support rate among other ethnic groups was measured at 51.9%.




ASSESSMENTS BASED ON POLITICAL VIEWS





  • It stood out with conservative voter support: 80% positive, only 15.2% negative.


  • 64.2% of nationalist voters found the process positive.


  • Support among the democratic/socialist segment was at 63.6%.


  • Support among secular/Atatürkist voters remained the lowest at 39.8%; 52.2% expressed negative views.


  • Among those declaring "other" political views, the support rate was measured at 58.4%.




GENERAL TABLE





  • 61.2% of participants across Turkey found the process positive,


  • 30.5% negative,


  • and 8.3% responded with no opinion/no answer.




METHOD AND CONFIDENCE INTERVAL OF THE RESEARCH



The survey was conducted using the CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method, with a 95% confidence interval and a ±2.45 margin of error. The distribution was based on the number of voters in general elections.
