Countries including France, India, and China have reached an agreement on 'open, inclusive, and ethical' artificial intelligence. A statement from the Élysée Palace announced that 61 countries signed a joint declaration at the international Artificial Intelligence Action Summit held in Paris.
"AWARENESS IN THE BUSINESS SECTOR NEEDS TO BE INCREASED"
The declaration stated that questions regarding artificial intelligence and energy were addressed multilaterally for the first time, emphasizing the need to increase awareness of the impacts of artificial intelligence on the business sector and to promote technologies that positively affect the future of this sector.
"MONOPOLIZATION IN THE MARKET MUST BE PREVENTED"
The declaration also highlighted the need to strengthen coordination in the governance of artificial intelligence and to prevent monopolization in the market to make this technology more accessible. It was pointed out that progress must be made to ensure the safety and reliability of artificial intelligence, and that making artificial intelligence 'sustainable' for societies is a priority.
