JOINT DECLARATION OF 111 DEPUTIES: HOLD AN EXTRAORDINARY CONGRESS ON JULY 12
111 deputies, including Özel, signed a joint declaration calling for an extraordinary congress. The declaration stated that if the congress is not held by July 25, 2026, the party risks not being able to participate in elections, and called for an extraordinary congress to be held on July 12, 2026.

The declaration included the following statements: "We, as the elected deputies of the 28th Term of the Republican People's Party, do not accept our party being shaped by court decisions that violate the Constitution and the principles of the rule of law. In this context, we call for the Extraordinary Congress to convene on Sunday, July 12, 2026, to ensure that the will of the Republican People's Party is reasserted without dispute.
