Kenan Işık was bid farewell on his final journey! His wife's two-word farewell broke hearts.

10 years ago, on March 21, 2014, actor and presenter Kenan Işık suffered a brain hemorrhage and has been in a coma ever since. Two days ago, at the age of 76, Işık passed away. After the funeral held in Istanbul, his body was brought to Ankara. A funeral ceremony was held at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque in Ankara after the afternoon prayer.

ART AND POLITICS COMMUNITY DID NOT LEAVE ALONE

The funeral was attended by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, General Director of State Theaters Tamer Karadağlı, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Işık family, and many citizens. Before the funeral prayer, Kenan Işık's wife Beril Işık and his sons Ahmet and Mehmet Işık received condolences. Kenan Işık's grandson Doruk Işık (9), who couldn't see his grandfather while he was alive, carried his photo during the funeral. After the funeral prayer led by the President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, Işık's body wrapped in the Turkish flag was taken to Karşıyaka Cemetery.

TAMER KARADAĞLI: OUR GRIEF, OUR LOSS IS GREAT

Tamer Karadağlı said, "Kenan Işık is a significant loss. He was not only an important actor on stage and screen but also a writer and director. He was not just a theater actor, he was a theater person. Our grief is great, our loss is great," he said.

BERİL IŞIK'S FINAL FAREWELL TO HER HUSBAND: GOODBYE

Doruk Işık, who carried his grandfather's photo, said, "We are all sad. He tried, but unfortunately, we lost him." Beril Işık, Kenan Işık's wife, stated that it was the family's wish for the burial to be in Ankara. After Kenan Işık's coffin was placed in the funeral vehicle, Beril Işık touched it one last time and said, "Goodbye." Kenan Işık's funeral took place at Karşıyaka Cemetery.
