Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, reinstated as the Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) by a decision of "absolute nullity", compared himself to the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in front of the CHP Headquarters, where he returned after 2.5 years. Responding to those who called him a "traitor", Kılıçdaroğlu recalled Atatürk's death warrant during his landing in Samsun and addressed the Özgür Özel administration, saying, "Efforts to collaborate with FETÖ remnants to incite our nation and brand us as traitors are futile."
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the position of CHP General Chairmanship with the court's 'absolute nullity' decision, came to the CHP Headquarters again after 2.5 years. Kılıçdaroğlu addressed the party members waiting for him in front of the Headquarters.
HE IDENTIFIED HIMSELF WITH ATATÜRK
In the most striking part of his speech, Kılıçdaroğlu referred to the shouts of 'traitor' directed at him and used harsh expressions, identifying himself with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Giving examples from history, the CHP leader said: “I heard those shouting 'traitor' at this man, who dedicated his 78 years of life to this homeland. I call out to them, to the dirty mentality behind those slogans, before history. The line between treason and national heroism in this country is thinner than a hair, sharper than a sword. Let those who don't know history listen: Our great leader, our eternal General Chairman Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, had a death warrant around his neck and was declared a traitor when he set out for Samsun to start the national liberation struggle. Despite our warnings, the efforts of those who have normalized, who stand at attention before the palace, and who today unite with FETÖ remnants to provoke our nation and brand us as traitors are futile.”
