Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, welcomed the adoption by the Turkish Grand National Assembly of the 'Draft Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion', which will form the legal basis for the Terror-Free Turkey process. Barzani stated that the process is an important transformation for peace, security, and stability in Turkey and the region.

The President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (IKR), Nechirvan Barzani, made a statement regarding the approval by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) of the Draft Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, which is the framework law that will form the legal basis for the Turkey Without Terrorism process.

In his statement, Barzani expressed his satisfaction with the approval of the said draft law, stating, "This bold step is an important transformation toward ensuring sustainable peace, security, and stability in Turkey and the region in general."

Barzani noted that they have always believed peace and dialogue are the most correct options, and stated that the era of arms and military solutions has ended. Emphasizing that the law is an important opportunity to establish trust among all segments in Turkey and ensure peaceful coexistence, Barzani stressed that everyone should support this process and work for the success of peace.

Barzani also thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and all parties who contributed to the preparation and adoption of the law, saying, "As always, we reiterate the IKR's full support for the success of peace and stability."
