The storm and heavy rain affecting Giresun negatively impacted daily life. The Tirebolu-Doğankent highway was closed to traffic due to falling rocks and tree branches, while in Yağlıdere, the Dalıp Stream overflowed and the HEPP on the stream was damaged. In Duroğlu town, overflowing stream waters caused damage to many workplaces.

TIREBOLU-DOGANKENT ROAD CLOSED FOR SAFETY
In a statement from the Governor's Office, it was reported that due to the heavy rainfall, falling rocks and tree branches caused disruptions on the Tirebolu-Dogankent highway. The statement noted that the road was closed to traffic in both directions for safety reasons, and that cleanup efforts have been initiated by teams. It also asked those using the route to heed warnings and directions.
STREAM OVERFLOWED IN YAGLIDERE, HPP WALLS DAMAGED
The Dalip Stream in the Gunece village of the Yaglidere district overflowed after the heavy rainfall. The hydroelectric power plant (HPP) on the stream was damaged in the flood.
LANDSLIDE AND FLOOD ALERTS ON VILLAGE ROADS
Meanwhile, it was learned that landslides and overflows in culverts occurred on the neighborhood and village roads of some districts. Teams are continuing their work to address the adverse conditions.
MANY WORKPLACES DAMAGED
Due to the rising water levels of the streams, residential areas in districts such as Espiye, Yaglidere, and Kesap faced flood threats, while in the Duroglu town, affiliated with the central Giresun district, overflowing stream waters caused flooding.
Many workplaces were damaged as a result of the stream flowing through the town center overflowing. Citizens began cleanup efforts after the waters receded.
