There are 48 hours left until the 120-day usage period for phones brought from abroad expires. At the end of this period, devices without IMEI registration will be blocked from the network. While the date of the SMS sent by the BTK is considered the start, the period can be extended up to 240 days with e-SIM. The 2026 IMEI registration fee has been set at 54,258 TL, and users can check the status of their devices via e-Devlet.
There are 48 hours left until the expiration of the 120-day legal usage period granted for overseas devices receiving signals from the network in Turkey. At the end of this period, devices without IMEI registration will be disconnected from communication.
SMS DATE IS TAKEN AS BASIS
The warning SMS sent by BTK determines the start of the period. For example, for a user receiving the message on January 5, the 120-day period ends on May 5.
E-SIM EXTENDS THE PERIOD TO 240 DAYS
The usage period, which is 120 days with a physical SIM, can be extended by an additional 120 days with an e-SIM, reaching a total of up to 240 days. If no registration is made by the end of this period, the device is shut down.
IMEI REGISTRATION FEE EXCEEDS 54 THOUSAND TL
The IMEI registration fee for 2026 has been set at 54,258 TL. Users who pay the fee can use their devices without issues.
QUERIES ARE MADE VIA E-GOVERNMENT
The registration status of the device can be checked via the “BTK IMEI Query” service on e-Government. Registered devices continue to be used without interruption.
