According to allegations, Mehmet Hazar and his 15-year-old brother N. Hazar, who went to the riverside for a picnic, wanted to cross to the other side of the river from a point where the water flow was lower. Shortly after the brothers entered the water, they were swept away by the current as the water flow rose due to the opening of the dam gates.
HIS BROTHER WAS RESCUED WITH A JET SKI Citizens nearby who saw the brothers being swept away rushed to help. N. Hazar was taken out of the water by Yunus Zoroğlan on a jet ski and brought to the shore.
While it was learned that 15-year-old N. Hazar's health condition was good, his brother Mehmet Hazar disappeared due to the strong current.
TEAMS WERE MOBILIZED Upon the report, AFAD, police, health, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area. In addition to AFAD teams, various non-governmental organizations also supported the search efforts.
The efforts were concentrated in the area where Mehmet Hazar disappeared in the river.

As a result of the teams' efforts, Mehmet Hazar's lifeless body was located approximately 100 meters from the point where he disappeared. Hazar's body, removed from the water, was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy after the examination at the scene.
