SHE TOOK SHELTER IN A MARKET B.Ş., who had been subjected to violence and threats before, met her boyfriend Y.K. 1.5 years ago and set off towards the district center by car. An argument broke out between the parties on the road. During the argument, Y.K. beat B.Ş. Taking advantage of Y.K. stopping and going to a kiosk, B.Ş. got out of the car and took shelter in a market. Y.K. followed the woman who was calling for help, forcibly pulled B.Ş. outside, and tried to put her back in the car while assaulting her. At that moment, another woman at the scene took B.Ş. away from Y.K. and drove off in her car. Y.K. chased after B.Ş., ramming the car with his own vehicle, causing damage. Going to the car that had stopped in front of a store, Y.K. smashed the window with his fist and then assaulted the female driver. Meanwhile, B.Ş., who was in the back seat, escaped and took shelter in a workplace. After the incident, B.Ş. went to the police station and filed a complaint against Y.K. While the investigation into the incident continues, efforts are ongoing to capture the fugitive Y.K.

Even though I blocked him on phone and social media, he somehow reached me and threatened me. I had to talk to him because I was afraid he would do something to me. On the day of the incident, he picked me up in his car and took me to his hometown of Tarsus. He said he wanted to have sex with me. When I refused and wanted to get out, he started beating me. I found an opportunity, got out of the car, and took shelter in a market. He followed me into the market, dragged me on the ground, and tried to force me into his car. At that moment, a woman I had never seen before intervened and took me. I got into the back of her car, and we drove away. Meanwhile, Y.K. followed us from behind, ramming into us. Then he blocked our way. He broke the woman's front window and said, 'You will give me the girl.' At that moment, I escaped through the back door. I immediately hid behind a shop and called the police. He is still threatening me. He says he will harm me. I am afraid something will happen to me," she said.
