A response has come from lawyer Burak Mengü regarding the claims that Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı became a "confessor" (cooperating witness) as part of the investigation. Burak Mengü, who is the brother of Nevşin Mengü and spoke to Fatih Altaylı, stated that his client is not a confessor, saying, "When I asked him about this matter, he also says he is not a confessor or anything like that."
Journalist Fatih Altaylı, in his latest column, shared a striking detail regarding the legal process against Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı. Altaylı revealed that Kütahyalı's lawyer is journalist Nevşin Mengü's brother, Burak Mengü, and that claims about Kütahyalı being a "turncoat" (confessing witness) were denied by his lawyer.

Fatih Altaylı stated that after the publication of his article titled "hearsay and gossip," which focused on operations against famous figures, a surprise message arrived on his phone. According to Altaylı, the message sent by lawyer Burak Mengü said:
"I am lawyer Burak Mengü, the lawyer of Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı. If it's convenient, could we meet?"

Fatih Altaylı reported that after the message, he called Burak Mengü and asked him during the conversation about the allegations circulating publicly that Kütahyalı had become a "turncoat" as part of the investigation. Lawyer Burak Mengü denied these allegations and made the following clear statements about his client's situation:
"My client did not become a turncoat. At least, not as far as I know. When I asked him about this matter, he also says he did not become a turncoat."
