A driver, 30-year-old Burak Karagöz, lost his life when a truck loaded with mineral oil overturned and caught fire near the Nevşehir Derinkuyu toll booths on the Ankara-Niğde Motorway in a horrific accident.

LOST CONTROL OF THE WHEEL

The accident occurred at the Derinkuyu location of the Ankara-Niğde Motorway. According to the information obtained, the truck with license plate 14 KL 531, loaded with mineral oil and driven by Burak Karagöz, went out of control after the driver lost control of the wheel and overturned into the ditch.

FIRE EXTINGUISHED IN 2 HOURS

Due to the impact of the overturn, the truck's fuel tank was punctured, and sparks caused by friction quickly led to a fire. Since the cargo was also mineral oil, the flames engulfed the entire vehicle. Upon the notification, numerous fire brigade, health, UMKE, and highway gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.

LOST HIS LIFE IN THE FIRE

While highway gendarmerie teams took security measures in the area, the fire was brought under control and extinguished after approximately 2 hours of intervention by fire brigade teams.
