Former Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Melih Gökçek commented on the fistfight that occurred between his son, AK Party Deputy Osman Gökçek, and CHP Deputy Mahmut Tanal in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey via social media. Gökçek shared an image of a boxer created by artificial intelligence and stated, "If you go against the will of those elected by the people and try to attack the minister, the children of the nation will stand by their minister."
The former Mayor of Ankara, Melih Gökçek, made a striking post on his social media account following the fistfight that occurred between his son, AK Party Deputy Osman Gökçek, and CHP Deputy Mahmut Tanal in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

In his post on his personal social media account, Melih Gökçek used an image depicting his son Osman Gökçek as a boxer created with artificial intelligence technology. Gökçek added a photo of CHP's Mahmut Tanal taken after he was hit during the scuffle next to this image.
USED THE TERM "KNOCKOUT"
Describing the incident as a "knockout," Melih Gökçek stated:
"Knockout… If you go against the will of those elected by the people's votes and try to attack the minister, the children of the nation will stand by their minister, and this is the result…"
Gökçek's post quickly resonated widely on social media.

Before the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet members in the TBMM General Assembly, tension arose when CHP deputies occupied the podium, and during the ensuing scuffle, Osman Gökçek and Mahmut Tanal confronted each other. After the incident, images of Tanal with a bleeding nose were reflected in the media.
