Within the scope of the 2027 Presidential Annual Program, it was announced that the prototype of the "National Digital Identity Wallet," which will combine citizens' basic identity and diploma documents on a single digital platform, will be tested at a pilot university next year; with the project coordinated by the Cybersecurity Presidency and the Ministry of Interior, the aim is to increase the number of users in e-Government to 71 million and the number of services to 10,000.
In line with the 2027 Presidential Annual Program, a revolutionary step is being taken in the digitalization processes of public services. It has been announced that the prototype of the national digital identity wallet, which will bring basic identity and diploma documents together under a single roof, will be developed next year.
THE FIRST PROTOTYPE WILL BE TESTED AT A PILOT UNIVERSITY
Under the responsibility of the Cybersecurity Presidency, the first concrete step is being taken within the scope of the project carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and relevant public institutions. The national digital identity wallet, designed with public employees as a priority, will begin to be tested at a pilot higher education institution to be determined. With the project, the design and delivery processes of digital public services will be restructured.
TARGET FOR E-GOVERNMENT: 10 THOUSAND SERVICES AND 71 MILLION USERS
The e-Government Gateway, through which 9,436 services belonging to 1,130 institutions and organizations were offered as of September 2026, will also be developed from scratch in the new period. In the system, where integrated services will be brought to the fore with common payment and identity verification applications, the standardization of municipal services will also be ensured.
In line with next year's targets, the e-Government Gateway's;
- number of registered users is planned to be increased to 71 million,
- total number of services offered to 10 thousand,
- and number of mobile services to 7,500.
