German traveler Tanja Aumer, whose vehicle broke down in Sivas during her world tour, became a guest of a family from Sivas. Tanja, who stayed in the village for 11 days, could not hold back her tears when the time to part came. The images shared on social media quickly became the center of attention.

SHE HAD SET OUT ON A WORLD TOUR WITH HER CAMPER

Tanja Aumer, who lives in Germany, set out on a world tour with her camper at the end of March. Wanting to proceed through Turkey to Georgia, Tanja went to Izmir, Denizli, Nevşehir, and Sivas.

Noticing that her vehicle had broken down as she was passing through the Divriği district, Tanja parked her camper by the roadside. Güngör Durgun, the headman of Güneyevler village, noticed Tanja, who had been resting in her camper for a while. Inviting Tanja Aumer to breakfast, headman Durgun took her to his house in the village and looked after the German traveler for a while.

THEY HOSTED HER IN THEIR HOME FOR 11 DAYS

The Durgun family, who looked after everything from Tanja's personal needs to the maintenance of her vehicle, hosted the traveler for 11 days. Throughout the 11-day visit, the Durgun family showed Tanja Aumer warm attention and sent her off after having her vehicle repaired. Unable to hold back her tears as she said goodbye, Tanja recorded those moments with her mobile phone and shared them on her social media accounts. The videos, which attracted great interest in a short time, won the appreciation of those who saw them.

SHE BECAME ONE OF THE FAMILY

Güngör Durgun, the headman of Güneyevler village who hosted Tanja Aumer, said, "It was really an ordinary kindness for us. We did not expect it to become such a topic. It received a serious amount of likes on social media. Showing our country and our Sivas so beautifully on social media made us happy. We do not know much English. We were able to communicate by translating on the phone. I saw the poor girl alone, and she explained her problem. First I brought her to breakfast, and later we brought her vehicle. She became one of the family."

Şehriban Durgun said, "Tanja affected us deeply. She became like a daughter of our house. We ate, drank, laughed, and had fun. We were very happy; if it had been up to us, we would never have sent her away. We were very emotional and cried when she left. When the occasion arose, she worked together with me. She was a very warm-hearted person. A bird has fallen into the bush; it needs to be wrapped up and cared for."

The videos shared by Tanja, who has now reached Mexico, broke viewing records and received great appreciation.
