Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that a total of 30 million lira has been allocated to Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations to meet the urgent needs of citizens affected by the flood disaster in Şanlıurfa and Samsun. It was also stated that psychosocial support efforts for the disaster victims are ongoing.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that 30 million liras have been allocated to meet the needs of disaster victims following the floods in Şanlıurfa and Samsun.
In a post on her social media account, Minister Göktaş stated that they stand by the citizens affected by the floods and announced that a total of 30 million liras have been sent to the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYDV) operating in both provinces to meet urgent and basic needs in the initial phase.
FIELD STUDIES CONTINUE
Göktaş stated that SYDV teams, in coordination with relevant institutions, are continuing field inspections, home visits, and damage assessment studies.
PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT PROVIDED
Noting that psychosocial support efforts for citizens affected by the disaster are ongoing, Minister Göktaş said, "Our psychosocial support teams have been on the field from the very first moment. We are providing psychosocial support services to our citizens affected by the disaster." In her statement, Göktaş also included the words, "May God protect our country and our nation from all disasters."
