The Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB), Mansur Yavaş, attended the opening of the Keçiören Cemevi, which has been completed in Keçiören. In his speech here, Yavaş, who gave a message for early elections, said, "After an early election that will be held in the coming days, we must definitely return to a parliamentary system. We see the determination to do this in our citizens." "ONCE ELECTED, A MANAGER CANNOT IMPOSE HIS WORLDVIEW ON ANYONE IN SOCIETY"Yavaş's statement is as follows: A little while ago, the difficulties that were experienced were mentioned. In fact, people give authority with the constitution they create, with a social contract. They elect a president. In the past, they used to elect a prime minister. They elect a mayor. They say, 'Spend the budget you receive from us in the direction we want.' Therefore, they assign someone in the election. That manager, once elected, cannot impose his worldview, his own ideas on anyone in society in any way. Because God has created everyone differently. Everyone has different thoughts. The manager has no other duty than to respect these. He says, 'I appointed you as a civil servant, I brought you to our heads. You will spend the budget you receive from us. We want you to ensure our security. We want you to provide us with good healthcare services. We want you to build good schools for our children to be well-educated. In short, we want you to promise us a good life and design it. But while doing this, please do not interfere with my beliefs, my way of life. We say, open the way for my beliefs and whatever I want to live. These difficulties have been experienced until now. "WE MUST DEFINITELY RETURN TO A PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM"If God permits, after an early election that will be held in the coming days, we must definitely return to a parliamentary system. We see the determination to do this in our citizens. Local elections have been the precursor to this. Votes have been received from all segments. How have votes been received from all segments? While managing Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, we never questioned the belief, origin, or anything of anyone. We did not question where they voted. We treated everyone equally and provided services. The people of Ankara responded beautifully to this at the ballot box. This shows that if you do not divide people, if you do not interfere with their lives, this citizen does what is necessary. So what is the measure? Treating everyone equally, not separating any citizens. Establishing justice, removing the obstacles to injustice, and establishing a balance between the judiciary, executive, and legislative. Unfortunately, it seems that all of these are currently concentrated in one hand. The only remedy for this is to return to a strengthened parliamentary system by eliminating the parts that have been objected to and removing the old systems that have been objected to. One person cannot know everything. There must definitely be a brake and balance mechanism."
