Following the detention of Habertürk's Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy and other suspects as part of a 'drug' investigation, they were brought to the courthouse. The prosecutor requested the arrest of Ersoy, Mustafa Manaz, Ufuk Tetik, and Ebru Gülan, while judicial control was sought for the other suspects.

MEHMET AKİF ERSOY DETAINED IN DRUG INVESTIGATION
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention order was issued for 8 suspects on charges of 'Purchasing Drugs or Stimulants for Personal Use', 'Possessing or Holding', or 'Using Drugs or Stimulants, providing a place and means for their use'. Among the suspects, former Habertürk Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy was detained by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams last night.
REFERRED TO COURT WITH A REQUEST FOR ARREST
The detained suspects Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Ufuk Tetik, Elif Kılınç, Mahmut Göde, Mustafa Manaz, Gizem Aybaktı, Ebru Gülan, and Buse Öztay were referred to the courthouse after a health check at the Forensic Medicine Institution. The suspects were referred to the court after their procedures. It has been learned that an arrest request has been made for Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
