Health Minister Memişoğlu announced that with a program launched simultaneously in 81 provinces, healthcare personnel will conduct body mass index (BMI) measurements. Memişoğlu stated that individuals who are overweight will be identified and referred to the necessary health units.
Minister Memişoğlu stated in a statement on his social media account that they have launched a new application with the goal of reaching 10 million people for the health of citizens.
With the program launched simultaneously in 81 provinces, Memişoğlu reported that health personnel will conduct height, weight, and body mass index measurements in public areas, squares, and event locations where citizens are concentrated. He emphasized that overweight individuals will be identified and directed to Healthy Life Centers and Family Health Centers, where they will receive nutritional counseling and follow-up services from dietitians.

Minister Memişoğlu noted the following:
"The process will be carried out in cooperation with our Provincial Health Directorates, relevant public institutions, as well as the Red Crescent, Green Crescent, and various non-governmental organizations. Our goal is to reach 10 million citizens between May 10 and July 10, 2025. We aim to raise awareness about the harms of excess weight and to promote a culture of healthy living. We will continue to work towards the goal of 'a society that protects its health without getting sick' through our educational programs aimed at increasing health literacy and our field applications that will encourage healthy living habits."
