Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hasan Sheybani and Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan made a statement regarding the recent situation in Syria. Sheybani expressed that the integration process with the terrorist organization YPG is being carried out in line with the interests of the Syrian people, stating, "This approach has been approved by both the US and Turkey. We are quite confident about this matter." Prince Faisal, on the other hand, stated, "Syria's potential lies primarily in its own people."

The Syrian Foreign Minister, Assad Hasan Shaibani, stated that the integration process in their country is being carried out in line with the interests of the people. Shaibani made evaluations on current issues during the session titled "Is It Possible to Stay Together? The Post-Revolution Future of Syria" at the Munich Security Conference held in Germany.

Pointing to the recent developments in Syria, Shaibani noted that they faced many challenges after the fall of the Assad regime, but they are fighting against them. Shaibani stated that they do not see the SDF as an enemy, expressing that they are "partners who can work within the framework of national identity." Minister Shaibani emphasized that the integration process carried out with the terrorist organization YPG is conducted in line with the interests of the Syrian people.

TURKEY AND THE USA APPROVED

Shaibani said, "The developed approach has been approved by both the USA and Turkey. We are quite confident about this and are extremely satisfied with the implemented policy."

Noting that they consider the integration process as a guarantee for Syria's future, Shaibani stated, "We believe that the pursued policy also serves as a guarantee for the future of Syria."

STATEMENT FROM SAUDI ARABIA

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, spoke at a panel on the Middle East during the 62nd Munich Security Conference. Bin Farhan pointed out that the Syrian administration has a constructive approach towards minorities and ethnic groups in the country, stating, "Syria is in a transitional period and coming out of a very difficult civil war, so some will tend to be more involved while others will tend to observe and wait. I think this is fair; everyone has to make their own decision. The potential of Syria lies primarily in its own people."

Regarding the reconstruction of Syria, bin Farhan said, "I believe that Syria will be rebuilt by its own people. It will not be built by regional countries or international circles. There is a role for all of us to play, and we are contributing as well." Bin Farhan noted that the agreement made with the terrorist organization YPG in Syria is being advanced "in a way that respects the rights of the Kurds," expressing that the progress of the Syrian government will bring success in many areas.

CONFLICT BREEDS CONFLICT

The Saudi Foreign Minister, in response to a question about whether the conflicts in different regions of the Middle East are interconnected, said, "Conflict breeds conflict. Now, when we look at Africa, we see how the situation in Sudan feeds the conflict in Ethiopia and neighboring regions."
