The Major League Soccer (MLS) Disciplinary Committee has fined Inter Miami's Argentine star Lionel Messi for an unsportsmanlike act against an opponent.

According to the MLS statement, Messi was fined an undisclosed amount by the Disciplinary Committee for violating the league's policy regarding the use of hands to an opponent's face, head, or neck area during the match against the Philadelphia Union.
