The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) announced that air temperatures across the country will continue to remain above seasonal norms. While hot weather persists nationwide, local showers are expected in some parts of the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions.
According to the forecasts of the Meteorology Department; the interior parts of the Mediterranean Region, the Central and Eastern Black Sea and the northeastern parts of Eastern Anatolia are expected to be partly and locally very cloudy.
Local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Taurus Mountains area of the Mediterranean, the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the surroundings of Sinop and Osmaniye, and the northern parts of Tokat, while the weather in other regions is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
TEMPERATURES ABOVE SEASONAL NORMS
According to the latest forecasts; partly and locally very cloudy weather will prevail in the interior parts of the Mediterranean Region and some parts of Eastern Anatolia. Local showers and thunderstorms are expected on the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the surroundings of Sinop and Osmaniye, and the northern parts of Tokat.
In other parts of the country, the weather is reported to be partly cloudy and clear. The wind is expected to blow from the north generally, from the south in the southern and eastern parts, and from the south in the interior and western regions, lightly, and occasionally moderately (30-40 km/h) in the interior and western regions.
