Businessman Aydın Çavuşoğlu, brother of former Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Alanyaspor Club President Hasan Çavuşoğlu, who passed away at the hospital where he was receiving treatment in the Alanya district, was laid to rest. Speaking at the funeral ceremony, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said, "Exactly 13 months ago, we bid farewell to my late father from here. Exactly 13 months later, we suddenly lost our brother Aydın."
Businessman Aydın Çavuşoğlu, who died in the hospital where he was being treated in the Alanya district of Antalya, was laid to rest. Former Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who fulfilled his duty by carrying his brother's coffin on his shoulders, stated that they would carry out his brother's will.
LOST 13-DAY BATTLE FOR LIFE
Businessman Aydın Çavuşoğlu, brother of former Foreign Minister and AK Party Antalya Deputy Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Corendon Alanyaspor Club President Hasan Çavuşoğlu, was found shot in his office at his gas station on the evening of May 5. After initial intervention by health teams dispatched to the scene, Çavuşoğlu was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery, then was placed in intensive care. After fighting for his life for 13 days, Aydın Çavuşoğlu passed away yesterday.

A funeral ceremony was held for Aydın Çavuşoğlu today at Türkler Central Cemetery.

“I BID FAREWELL TO MY FATHER 13 MONTHS AGO, NOW TO MY BROTHER”
Speaking at the funeral, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed his sorrow. Çavuşoğlu said, "Our brother Aydın stayed in the hospital for 13 days. We thank all our friends, especially our esteemed President and his family, who did not leave us alone during this process. Exactly 13 months ago, we bid farewell to my late father from here. Exactly 13 months later, we suddenly lost our brother Aydın."
“WE WILL FULFILL AYDIN’S WILL”
Stating that his brother was closely involved in charitable works, Çavuşoğlu expressed that Aydın Çavuşoğlu provided the greatest support for the ongoing mosque project. Çavuşoğlu used the following statements in his speech: "Aydın had left us a will. He wanted a foundation to be established in his name, to build new mosques and schools through this foundation, and to educate children. God willing, as a family, we will fulfill this will of his."
LAID TO REST
After the funeral prayer, Aydın Çavuşoğlu's body was laid to rest with prayers. His family and relatives experienced great sorrow at the ceremony.
