In his speech at the delivery ceremony of the 455,000th disaster housing unit in Hatay, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli stated, "The Solomon of our time is President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Sinan of our time is our Minister of Environment, Murat Kurum."
The Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, spoke at the ceremony for the lottery draw of the 455,000th Disaster Housing, the handover of keys, and the collective opening of completed investments in Hatay.
Highlights from the statements of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli are as follows:
"I observe with admiration and appreciation that Hatay has risen from its ashes, rebuilt from scratch, and has stood up again. Immediately after the devastating earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, with magnitudes of 7.6 and 7.7, a tremendous struggle was initiated in solidarity between the state and the nation to heal the wounds of the horrific disaster we faced.
Those who sought to establish a site of exploitation over our pains and memories have been disappointed. Those who pursued gossip instead of being honest and truthful could not hide that they were on the side of disgrace, not the nation.
Those who resorted to all kinds of tricks to put the state in a difficult position to profit from the February 6 disaster have fallen into vain attempts. The game of putting the state in a difficult position did not work.
"THE SOLOMON OF OUR TIME IS ERDOĞAN"
My esteemed citizens, I know that the foundations of the first houses were laid 45 days after the February 6 disaster. Massive construction sites were rapidly established in the earthquake zone. It is our citizens who will appreciate how far Atatürk Avenue has come.
As far as I have followed, to date, 98,000 housing units have been delivered to rightful citizens in Hatay, and it is planned for this number to exceed the limit of 150,000.
Those who cannot digest this picture of pride should not forget that the sun cannot be covered with mud. Those writhing in the grip of empty dreams are merely the sufficiency of the vile.
