In the terrible accident that occurred on the highway between the Suruç and Birecik districts of Şanlıurfa, a minibus rear-ended a TIR truck parked on the roadside. In the accident, 11-year-old Bedir Aşan and 50-year-old Mihriban Aşan, who were in the minibus, lost their lives, while 2 people were seriously injured.

MINIBUS REAR-ENDED THE TIR
The accident occurred on the highway between the Suruç and Birecik districts of Şanlıurfa. According to the information obtained, the minibus with license plate 27 AIC 420 rear-ended the TIR with license plate 33 BAJ 761, which was traveling in the same direction and was stopped on the right side of the road.
Due to the impact of the collision, 4 people in the minibus were trapped inside the vehicle. Upon the notification, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region.
11-YEAR-OLD CHILD AND WOMAN LOST THEIR LIVES
In the examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that a child and a woman in the minibus, whose identities could not be established in the initial assessments, had lost their lives.
The seriously injured Felekmiş Aşan (40) and Sait Aşan (56), who were extracted from the vehicle by the teams' efforts, were taken to Suruç State Hospital by ambulances.
After the accident, it was determined that the people who lost their lives in the minibus were 50-year-old Mihriban Aşan and 11-year-old Bedir Aşan.
THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT WAS A BLOWOUT
In the examination, it was determined that the driver lost control of the steering wheel as a result of a tire blowout on the minibus. The out-of-control minibus rear-ended the TIR driven by Beşir Dayan (45), which was stopped on the right side of the road.
It was learned that Sait Aşan and Felekmiş Aşan, who were seriously injured in the accident, are continuing their treatment at the hospital.
