Minister of the Interior Mustafa Çiftçi announced that security measures in schools have been increased, reporting that in schools where needed, law enforcement units will take up duty at least half an hour before the students, and that inspections will be intensified at every point from school surroundings to school shuttles and parks.
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi shared with the public the security measures decided to be taken in schools after today's Public Order Meeting. Minister Çiftçi, noting that inspections will increase during school entry and exit hours and at noon, said that in schools where needed, law enforcement units will be present at their posts at least half an hour before the students.
After the attack incidents at schools, new security measures continue to be taken in schools. As the new education and training year begins, many new measures have been put into practice, while Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi provided information about the new measures taken in a post after the Public Order Meeting.
Minister Çiftçi, stating that in schools where needed, security forces will begin duty half an hour before the students, expressed that inspections will increase during school entry and exit hours and at noon.
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi used the following statements in his statement on the matter:
"In our Public Order Meeting held today, we comprehensively evaluated the current measures for school security and the work we will implement in the upcoming period.
Our children's receiving education in peace and security is one of our most fundamental priorities. In this direction, we have given new instructions to our Police and Gendarmerie units to strengthen school security and increase inspections.
"AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR EARLIER..."
Our security measures must be taken before our children arrive at school. In schools where needed, our law enforcement units will be present at their posts at least half an hour before our students.
We will increase our inspections during school entry and exit hours and at noon; we will ensure security at every point, from school surroundings to transportation routes, from school buses to abandoned buildings, parks, and social areas, with a holistic understanding.

We will act in coordination with the relevant units of our Police and Gendarmerie against all risks that could endanger our children, especially peer bullying, violent incidents, and the drug threat.
Because the safety of even one child of ours cannot be neglected.
