The Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, announced that following the earthquakes that occurred in Istanbul last week, 4 school buildings, including 3 historical ones, have been evacuated.
While the earthquake storm that started with a 6.2 magnitude tremor in Istanbul continues, a striking statement came from the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin. Before the AK Party Group Meeting, Minister Tekin answered questions from journalists, stating that 4 school buildings, 3 of which are historical, were evacuated across Istanbul following the earthquakes that caused great panic.
APPOINTMENTS OF TEACHERS WITH DISABILITIES
Touching on the appointments of teachers with disabilities, Minister Tekin said, "The appointment of teachers with disabilities just took place. A total of 1,381 appointments have been announced, congratulations. They will start their duties as of September 1st," he stated.
2,928 BUILDINGS WITH MINOR DAMAGE
The Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, also stated in a statement he made yesterday, "As of today in Istanbul; we have inspected 25,017 buildings. We have determined that 22,089 buildings are undamaged, and 2,928 buildings have minor damage."
