In a television program, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, made statements regarding current issues and noted that two ships owned by Turks passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
“THEY WILL EXIT WHEN IT IS SAFE”
Uraloğlu stated that the developments in the region are being closely monitored, saying, “We will have removed our ships from there when we are sure they will exit safely.”
MARITIME TRANSPORTATION DISRUPTED
Maritime transportation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route through which approximately 20 million barrels of oil pass daily, has been severely disrupted due to the US-Israel war against Iran. The disruptions in the strait have raised not only oil prices but also transportation and insurance costs, deepening concerns about the global economy.
The Tehran administration announced that during the war process with the US and Israel, the Strait of Hormuz is open to countries other than the US and its allies.
