FOREST FIRE RISK INCREASES IN MARMARA, AEGEAN, AND WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN
Yumakli made a post on his social media account regarding forest fires. Stating that the next 3 days are critical in terms of forest fires, Yumakli noted the following in his post: "According to meteorological data, strong winds, high temperatures, and low humidity expected to be effective in Marmara, Aegean, and Western Mediterranean regions between August 28-30 increase the risk of forest fires.
"LET US ABSOLUTELY NOT LIGHT FIRES"
Let us absolutely not light fires in and around forested areas. Let us not throw flammable materials into dry grassy areas. Let us stay away from activities such as burning stubble and garden waste. Let us immediately report the slightest smoke or suspicious situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. While all the means of our state and the devoted struggle of our forest heroes continue with determination, it should not be forgotten that our greatest strength is preventing fires with the sensitivity of our citizens."
