The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement following the ceasefire agreement reached between Hamas and Israel. In the written statement published by the Ministry, it was stated, "We welcome the ceasefire agreement reached between Hamas and Israel." The statement thanked the mediator countries, especially Qatar and Egypt, for their efforts.

"THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY MUST ENSURE THAT ISRAEL FULFILLS ITS RESPONSIBILITIES"

The statement emphasized that in the upcoming process, all stages of the agreement must be implemented, the ceasefire must be made permanent, and humanitarian aid must be urgently delivered to Gaza. It was stressed that "the international community must ensure that Israel fulfills its responsibilities in these matters."

"NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT PALESTINIAN STATE MUST BEGIN"

The statement pointed out that lasting peace and stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through peace for Palestine and an end to the injustices faced by Palestinians, stating: "In this context, peace negotiations aimed at the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State, with geographical integrity and its capital in East Jerusalem, must be initiated as soon as possible. Turkey will continue to support the Palestinian people in the upcoming process."

CEASEFIRE WILL START ON SUNDAY
