TWO GULF COUNTRIES HIT
Iran's Revolutionary Guards launched numerous ballistic missiles at US military bases in Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Following the attacks, sirens sounded in the region's countries. Air defense systems were activated against the missiles.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced that the memorandum of understanding signed with the US was effectively suspended due to the Washington administration's failure to fulfill its obligations. Gharibabadi argued that the US violated all articles of the agreement and said Iran had also suspended its commitments.
"US VIOLATED ALL COMMITMENTS"
Speaking to the country's press, Gharibabadi stated that the US had not fulfilled its obligations under the memorandum, saying, "The US violated all its commitments in the memorandum and suspended all articles. In response to this situation, our country also suspended its obligations under the memorandum and it is no longer implemented."
"ATTACKS BEGAN WHILE NEGOTIATIONS WERE ONGOING"
Gharibabadi claimed that the US carried out attacks on Iran while the negotiation process was ongoing, arguing that this approach had not yielded results. The Iranian official said, "The US once again understood that an aggressive stance will not bring results and has received the necessary response to this attitude."
RENEWED CONFLICTS BETWEEN THE US AND ISRAEL
The nuclear and peace agreement reached between the US and Iran was suspended due to mutual attacks. The intense US airstrikes on military targets in Iranian territory completely eliminated the ground for diplomatic resolution. In response to these operations, Iran closed the strategically important Strait of Hormuz and directly targeted American military bases stationed in Gulf countries such as Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates with missiles and kamikaze drones.
