Iran claimed that it shot down a F/A-18 fighter jet belonging to the United States.
Iranian State Television alleged that the jet was shot down in the airspace of Chabahar city, located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, and fell into the Indian Ocean.

It was also captured on camera that the jet was hit but continued on its path, and the moments of those recording it were filled with joy.
U.S. ARMY DENIED
Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) rejected the claim of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. In a post from CENTCOM's official social media account, it was stated that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' statement was "false," and it was emphasized that "no U.S. fighter jet has been shot down by Iran."
