ERTUĞRUL KAYA LEAVES THE DEVA PARTY

In his statement, Kaya expressed that the party's boards had long been aware of these disagreements, stated that he had left all his duties in the DEVA Party, and shared the decision with the public.

'In view of my disagreements, of which the authorized bodies of the DEVA Party have long been aware, and pursuant to the decision to part ways that I shared during my meeting with the Chairman, Mr. Ali Babacan, in September, I hereby inform the public that, in line with the timetable I stated, I have resigned as of today from all my duties in the DEVA Party.'

IT HAD BEEN CLAIMED THAT HE WOULD JOIN THE AK PARTY

Following Ertuğrul Kaya's May post on his social media account, 'Vira Bismillah. There is good in what has happened and what will happen,' the claim that he would resign from his party came to the fore.

Speaking on the matter, Kaya denied the claims that he would resign and said, 'We have seen that Turkey's sociopolitical climate is also at a very interesting point.'

'AFTER COMPLETING THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THE BOOK, I SAID BISMILLAH'

Kaya, who stated that he wrote a book recounting events from Turkey's social and political life, noted that he said 'bismillah' after completing the first chapter of the book.

Emphasizing that the meaning of 'bismillah' in the country has been reduced to political transitions, Kaya commented, 'When you say bismillah, there is probably a party change. Bismillah is an act of a Muslim. You say it when opening a place, when opening a shop, when drinking water. At least that is what we do. I also started writing the book, I am making a clean copy, and we said bismillah so that it would be blessed. Of course, the process evolved into political interpretations.'
