'SHE HAS ACCOMMODATED BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN HER 78-YEAR LIFE'
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of Abacı, saying, "Our precious artist passed away in America, and her family wanted her to return to her country, her homeland. We closely followed this process. Yesterday, we held our ceremony at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Today, we held the funeral ceremony in Ankara. May God have mercy on her. May God grant patience to her family. There is not much to say. Our precious artist has accommodated many beautiful things in her 78-year life and left behind many beautiful memories. Many of our artists, many of our artists from state institutions participated. They have all either performed as vocalists or played music behind her. We are saddened. May she rest in peace," he said.
'WE WILL ALL MISS HER'
Abacı's daughter, Aslı Saba Abacı, said, "It is a great loss. I still can't get used to it; it feels like both there and not there, both real and not real. But I am very happy to have come to Ankara. I am very happy to have brought her to Ankara. I am very happy that we are in Turkey. Thank you all very much. She has many admirers. We will all miss her. From now on, she is entrusted to you here. I will also come and visit her," she said. Stating that she was by her mother's side at her last breath, Abacı said, "We didn't talk much in the last 2 days. Because she got a bit heavier in the last 2 days, we couldn't talk much. But until 3 days ago, we were talking; of course, we didn't expect such a thing," she said.
