With decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, new appointments were made to the Capital Markets Board (SPK). Muhsin Atcı, Head of the Tax Inspection Board, was appointed as President of the SPK, while Ersin Başar Ekmekci was appointed as Deputy President and Yasemin Girici as Member of the Board.
New appointments have been made to the senior management of the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB). The appointment decision bearing the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
MUHSIN ATCI BECAME THE NEW CHAIRMAN OF THE CMB
According to the decision, Muhsin Atcı, who served as Chairman of the Tax Inspection Board, was appointed as Chairman of the CMB.
With the same decision, Ersin Başar Ekmekci was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the CMB, and Yasemin Girici as a Member of the Board.
THE FORMER CHAIRMAN HAD BEEN DISMISSED
Mahmut Sütçü, Chairman of the Capital Markets Board (CMB), who was at the center of the fund crisis debates that erupted in Borsa Istanbul and the capital markets when 131 investment funds belonging to 7 portfolio management companies defaulted and were liquidated, had been dismissed on October 20.
In addition, former CMB Chairman İbrahim Ömer Gönül had also been removed from his position as Chairman of the Public Oversight, Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority.
