ORHAN GENCEBAY TOOK THE BAĞLAMA IN HIS HANDS
Warm moments were captured at the meeting of Orhan Gencebay and Tarkan. The master artist took his bağlama and began playing “Hatasız Kul Olmaz,” one of his works that has remained in memories since the 1970s. Tarkan accompanied Gencebay with his voice.
The footage of the two artists coming together on the same piece was shared on social media by Gencebay’s life partner Sevim Emre. Emre added the note “My Tarkan and my Orhan, good night” to the video.
TARKAN HAD ALSO PERFORMED THE SONG BEFORE
Tarkan already has a special connection with “Hatasız Kul Olmaz.” The Megastar had reinterpreted Orhan Gencebay’s work for the tribute album titled Orhan Gencebay ile Bir Ömür (A Lifetime with Orhan Gencebay), released in 2012.
Years later, the two artists coming together in the same song turned into a nostalgic meeting for music lovers.
