Murat Cemcir, one of the beloved comedy actors of Turkish cinema, broke his silence after the bankruptcy decision issued regarding the production company he is a partner in. Stating that they could not become aware of the legal process the company was going through because a notification did not reach them, the famous actor announced that they had objected to the decision. Cemcir said he believed the case would result in their favor.

Murat Cemcir, who drew millions of viewers to movie theaters with films such as 'Çalgı Çengi' and 'Ailecek Şaşkınız', has now made headlines not for his success on the silver screen, but for a development in the business world. After a bankruptcy ruling was issued for the production company he founded with director Selçuk Aydemir, all eyes turned to the famous actor, and Cemcir answered questions that were on people's minds at a film event he attended.

BANKRUPTCY DECISION ISSUED FOR HIS COMPANY

TR 40 33 Productions, which Murat Cemcir and Selçuk Aydemir launched in 2016, produced projects that achieved significant box-office success in Turkish cinema. However, a bankruptcy ruling was issued for the company, which was said to have experienced financial difficulties recently, by the Istanbul 1st Commercial Court of First Instance on October 1, 2026.

After the ruling became public, Cemcir's lawyer, Can Cebeci, claimed that the company had not been informed of the trial process and announced that legal applications had been made.

MURAT CEMCIR BREAKS HIS SILENCE

Cemcir, who attended the preview of the film 'The Cat in the Hat', in which he was part of the Turkish voice cast, did not leave unanswered the press members' questions regarding the bankruptcy ruling. Stating that there was a notification that did not reach company officials, the actor explained that his lawyers took action after learning of the development.

In his statement on the matter, Cemcir used the following words:

"There was a notification that did not reach the company's officials. This was also a matter of which we were unaware. However, after becoming aware, our lawyers made their necessary objections. The process will proceed through legal channels. I believe it will conclude in our favor."

ALL EYES TURNED TO THE LEGAL PROCESS

With the actor's statement, the objections made against the bankruptcy ruling came to the agenda again. In an earlier statement, Cemcir's lawyer asserted that the company had not had the opportunity to defend itself and stated that initiatives had been taken for the ruling to be legally reconsidered.

While it has not yet become clear how the applications regarding the bankruptcy ruling on the company will conclude, Cemcir expressed his expectation that the process would be completed in their favor.
