Nearly 400 sheep perished in a snowstorm in Karaman.

In the Ayrancı district of Karaman, approximately 400 sheep in a flock that were caught in a snowstorm froze to death.

The flock of 900 sheep returning from the pasture in the Yurt Pınarı Sağcabükü area of Berendi village, located in the Ayrancı district of Karaman, was suddenly caught in heavy snowfall and blizzard. Upon the shepherds' request for help to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie and AFAD teams were dispatched to the region.

400 SHEEP PERISHED

As a result of the teams' efforts, it was determined that approximately 400 of the sheep had perished. Governor Mehmet Fatih Çiçekli, who visited Berendi village, received information from the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Hatice Bulut, and conveyed his best wishes to the animal owners.
