Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, made a striking statement regarding President Erdoğan. Barzani said, 'Whoever solves the Kurdish issue in Turkey deserves the Nobel Prize, and that person is first and foremost Mr. President Erdoğan.'
President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Nechirvan Barzani made striking remarks at a forum he attended regarding the Terror-Free Turkey process. Stating that the process is being carried out seriously by Turkey, Barzani said that President Erdoğan deserves the Nobel Prize.
BARZANI: THE TERROR-FREE TURKEY PROCESS IS MOVING IN A SOUND DIRECTION
Barzani said in his statement: "From what I have seen in President Erdoğan over the past two years, this process is a serious one. For two years, no mother's heart has been burned in Turkey, no conflict has occurred. Even this alone is a great achievement.
The process is slow, but it is progressing in a correct and sound direction. This process requires great patience and fortitude. The success of the process will take Turkey to a completely different stage and will be for the benefit of the entire country.

"When Bahçeli was in the hospital, I said to President Erdoğan: 'The world has changed a lot; now Kurds are praying for Bahçeli to recover.' This is a clear indication of the change and the seriousness we attach to the issue. Whoever solves the Kurdish issue in Turkey deserves the Nobel Peace Prize; this applies first and foremost to Erdoğan."
