A person sitting at home in the Kozan district of Adana was targeted by a helmeted attacker who arrived on a motorcycle. The suspect, who entered the single-story detached house and opened fire on the homeowner with a handgun, fled on his motorcycle after the attack. It was learned that the person, who was injured by a bullet that hit his leg and was taken to hospital after his cries for help, is not in life-threatening danger. Police launched an operation to catch the attacker, whose identity has not yet been determined.
In the Kozan district of Adana, a person was injured while sitting in his single-story detached house as a result of an armed attack by a suspect wearing a helmet.
ENTERED AND PULLED THE TRIGGER
The incident occurred in the evening hours at a single-story detached house on Şehit Mustafa Ergül Street in the Aslanpaşa Neighborhood of Kozan district. The unidentified suspect with a helmet, who came to the front of the house on a motorcycle, entered and opened fire on the homeowner, M.K., with a handgun. M.K., who was injured by a bullet that hit his leg, shouted for help from those around. The armed attacker fled the scene on the motorcycle he had arrived on.
NO LIFE-THREATENING DANGER
Upon the report of nearby residents who heard the gunshot and cries for help, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. M.K. was taken to Kozan State Hospital by ambulance. It was learned that M.K., who was taken for treatment, was not in life-threatening danger.
The police, who took action to catch the fleeing suspect, are continuing the investigation into the incident.
