A second wave operation was carried out within the scope of the investigation launched against the Ahbap Association on charges of "violation of the Associations Law" and "laundering of assets derived from crime." Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Ahbap Association, an investigation was launched against singer Haluk Levent on charges of "violation of the Associations Law" and "laundering of assets derived from crime," and in this context, a detention decision was made for 26 people, including Haluk Levent.
One of the suspects subject to an arrest warrant, Haluk Levent, was detained yesterday in Bursa by teams affiliated with the Istanbul Financial Crimes Branch, and a search was conducted at the Ahbap Association's office in Istanbul. Within the scope of the investigation, 21 suspects, identified as being connected to Ahbap Association members and employees, were detained in operations carried out yesterday and today. During searches at the suspects' addresses, a large number of digital materials, cash, gold, checks, promissory notes, and various documents were seized. It was announced that the number of detainees in the operation had risen to 22.
While operations continue to capture 4 fugitive suspects, the procedures for 22 people, including Association President Haluk Levent and lawyer Ece Güner, are ongoing at the Istanbul Police Department.
