The stalemate that has persisted in the Turkey without terrorism process has been broken. It has been reported that the security bureaucracy has requested a disarmament timeline and roadmap from the PKK, and a new process has begun in which Ankara's prepared plan and the organization's demands will be aligned. According to discussions behind the scenes, the process will proceed gradually according to the determined timeline. Emphasis is placed on taking mutual steps simultaneously using a method referred to as the "zipper system."
In the process carried out within the scope of the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey, a notable stage has been reached. According to information obtained from security sources, PKK has been requested to provide a detailed timeline and roadmap regarding disarmament. The aim is to compare the plan prepared by Ankara with the proposals to come from the organization and to determine common headings.
CONTACTS WITH KANDIL CONTINUE
According to the news in the Türkiye newspaper; it has been learned that a delegation consisting of MIT and security bureaucracy has been maintaining contacts with Kandil for a while. In the meetings, the organization was asked to prepare a concrete roadmap regarding the disarmament process.
It is stated that the plan to be prepared will include the evacuation of caves, the liquidation of weapon depots, and the timings related to these. Security sources express that the organization is expected to present a comprehensive work within a week to 10 days.
WILL BE MATCHED WITH THE GOVERNMENT'S PLAN
Once the roadmap from Kandil reaches Ankara, it will be compared with the administrative and legal steps prepared by the state. It is planned to identify overlapping headings in the process and evaluate feasible demands for consideration.
According to information discussed backstage, the process will progress gradually in line with the determined timeline. It is emphasized that mutual steps will be taken simultaneously using a method called the "zipper system."
CRITICAL MEETINGS IN İMRALI
It has been claimed that high-level security meetings were also held with Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı within the scope of the process. It was stated that not only the disarmament timeline but also possible legal regulations for the upcoming period were discussed in the meetings.
“OUR PREPARATIONS ARE COMPLETE”
AK Party sources stated that the state's preparations are largely complete. Sources indicated that the process will proceed with administrative regulations, legal changes, and presidential decrees.
Drawing attention to the fact that different procedures will be applied for organization members, sources said that members who prefer to stay in Iraq or Syria will be subject to the legal systems of those countries. It was stated that a separate mechanism will be activated for those who disarm and return to Turkey.
