Cabarets, bars, and nightclubs synonymous with Ankara's nightlife have come back onto the agenda in the shadow of the transformation agenda in the capital. As the Ankara Governor's Office's efforts to bring Ulus and its surroundings into tourism and inspections of entertainment venues continue, businesses offered for sale on listing sites with transfer prices of millions of lira drew attention. The asking prices for two businesses in Çankaya and Maltepe reached as high as 42 million TL.

Entertainment venues, which have been among the indispensable elements of Ankara nightlife for years, drew attention again with the transformation debates that came to the agenda in the capital. After the Ankara Governor's Office's efforts to bring Ulus and its surroundings into tourism and the inspections of entertainment venues in the region, businesses put up for sale as going concerns on listing sites also came to the agenda. In two listings published in Çankaya and Maltepe, the asking prices for nightclubs and bars ranged from 41 million 500 thousand TL to 42 million TL.

THE INDISPENSABLES OF ANKARA NIGHTLIFE

Cabarets, bars and nightclubs, which have been part of nightlife in the capital for many years, have a unique place in the city's entertainment culture. These venues, especially known for their entertainment life lasting from evening hours until late at night, are also among the known elements of Ankara's social life.

However, efforts to preserve the historical fabric of Ulus and its surroundings, highlight the region's tourism potential and reorganize the city center have also opened the future of entertainment venues to debate.

ULUS'S TOURISM IDENTITY COMES TO THE FORE

Within the scope of the Ankara Governor's Office's efforts to bring Ulus and its surroundings into tourism, businesses and usage areas in the region came to the agenda again. While inspections of entertainment venues also drew attention during this process, it was reported that license cancellation and sealing procedures were applied to some businesses.

While the transformation debates in the region continue, listings for bars and nightclubs put up for sale as going concerns at different points of the capital also draw attention. However, there is no verified information showing that all of the listings in question are connected to the works or inspections in Ulus.

PRICE CLOSE TO 42 MILLION TL FOR TWO BUSINESSES

In one of the examples on the listing sites, 42 million TL was asked for a bar in Çankaya. The listing stated that the business would be transferred together with the property deed and that it was licensed until 05:00 at night.

In the listing published for a nightclub located in Maltepe Neighborhood, the price was 41 million 500 thousand TL. The information that the business has a tourism license was also highlighted in the listing title.

While the transformation debates regarding entertainment venues in the capital continue, these multi-million-lira listings were among the striking examples concerning the transfer of businesses in Ankara nightlife.
