Kemal Başer, known as 'Yılancı Kemal' in Hatay, caught two black snakes that were trying to enter his family's home, where a dialysis patient lives, after a struggle lasting minutes, capturing them in the hole where they were hiding. Moments of Yılancı Kemal remaining calm while the snakes coiled around his arm as he caught them were captured on camera.
In the Payas district, in the Yildirim Beyazit neighborhood, a dialysis patient family had two black snakes, each 1.5 meters long, enter a hole in their home. The elderly homeowner who saw the snakes reported the situation to firefighters and Kemal Baser, known as 'Snake Kemal'. Firefighters and Snake Kemal quickly arrived at the home of the dialysis patient family and, after a struggle lasting several minutes, caught the snakes from the hole where they were hiding without using any equipment.
WRAPPED THE BLACK SNAKES AROUND HIS ARM
In the footage, the struggle to remove the snakes from the hole outside the house and the calm demeanor of Baser as the black snakes wrapped around his arm were captured on camera. Although the recorded images frightened viewers, Snake Kemal released the two snakes he caught into nature, away from people.
"A NON-VENOMOUS AND HARMLESS SPECIES"
Kemal Baser, who released the two black snakes he caught in the hole outside the house into nature, said, "Two black snakes entered through a hole behind a house. We struggled quite a bit to remove one snake. While trying to remove one, I noticed the other black snake in the hole. We safely removed it, and then I took this one. This is an adult black snake about 1.5 meters long, and it wound nicely around my arm. This one is less than a meter but much more docile. It is a species close to shedding its skin. Now we will release them into nature away from people. I will release both together. I am not separating them; they were in the same hole. There are also vipers in this region. Black snakes hunt vipers. The black snake is a non-venomous and harmless species. It is a very important species for our nature. It is not harmful to humans; it is beneficial."
