Security camera footage has emerged of the horrific accident in Amasya, where a 20-year-old man lost his life after being hit by the cabin of a ride known as the ranger (kamikaze) at an amusement park. The footage shows the cabin, moving downward, dragging the amusement park employee it caught in front of it.
Security camera footage of the horrific accident at an amusement park in Amasya has emerged. 20-year-old employee Burak Kırıkçı, struck by the amusement ride known as the Ranger, lost his life.
According to information obtained, the incident occurred on June 6 at an amusement park in Hızırpaşa District. The amusement ride known as the Ranger (kamikaze) was operated after customers boarded.
At that moment, business employee Burak Kırıkçı, who had left the operator's cabin, entered the restricted movement area. Shortly after, the descending cabin struck and dragged the young man.
SEVERELY INJURED, DIED IN HOSPITAL
First aid to the young man, who collapsed in a pool of blood, was provided by those nearby. Burak Kırıkçı, taken to the hospital in serious condition by ambulance, could not be saved despite all doctors' efforts. The unfortunate young man's body was laid to rest in the Bafra district of his hometown, Samsun.
OPERATOR AND MANAGER ARRESTED
Following the accident, the amusement park was sealed, and judicial and administrative investigations were launched. Amusement park operator F.C. and business manager H.N.E. were taken into custody by police. The suspects were arrested by the court and sent to prison.
